Welcome Bess, Our Newest Substitute Acupuncturist

image1 (1)I found natural medicine where I grew up, in the farms and foods of Western Massachusetts.
At a young age, I started practicing Yoga and meditation and traveled to India to deepen my perspective. I came back to the states with a bad parasite and, despite my skepticism, got acupuncture which brought me back to life. Since then I continued exploring all holistic modalities from western herbalism to abdominal massage. I chose to go to grad school for Chinese medicine specifically because I found it to be the most financially accessible form of natural medicine out there. That accessibility is my number one priority as a practitioner, and I’m so happy it’s growing.
I’ve been in the field for 14 years and the more I do it, the more passion I have for all of the aspects of practicing and learning. Natural medicine teaches me how to live humbly and happily while still adapting to the wildness and unpredictability of life. I spend a lot of time doing simple things like cooking and walking surrounded by music, sitting in the sun in my backyard, and hanging out with my people. In the next few months, I will share all of these things with my partner in crime and our newborn baby that is due in December.
